In an era of music-driven worship in the Christian Church, this first album in THE GREENHOUSE PROJECT series draws inspiration from a "new/not so new" liturgy of call, contemplation, creed, confession, care received, care given, and carry. The Planting was recorded live at the McPherson Studios at North Central University in downtown Minneapolis and features David Pedde, Ben Gowell, Michael Olson, Aaron Fabbrini, Jeff Kerr, Dan Lawonn, Tim Zhorne, Rachel Fleig, Ryan Williams and Vinnie Zarletti. “Worship is being with God and responding appropriately.” David Pedde has been involved in worship leading and worship songwriting since long before WORSHIP was a genre label for the record industry. His heart is to develop new songs to be used as part of that “appropriate response, “ and to develop worship songwriters, which he has been doing at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota since 1992. Worship Songs Volume One is a compilation of some of those songs, recorded live over the years in the University Chapel services. Have a listen!
